On December 25, 2025, Zhang Zhike, Deputy Director of the Passenger Transport Department of China Railway Group, led a delegation of passenger transport officials from Beijing, Wuhan, Xi'an, Shanghai and other railway bureaus to visit Shanghai Hubang Intelligent Rehabilitation Equipment Co., Ltd. for research and guidance. This survey focuses on the adaptability of electric wheelchairs and other auxiliary transportation vehicles to high-speed rail, and jointly explores how to make high-speed rail travel more convenient for people with limited mobility.
The research team first visited the product exhibition hall of Shanghai Hubang. The leaders of the national railway have paid special attention to the electric wheelchair products specially designed by Hubang for public transportation scenarios. These wheelchairs are made of lightweight materials, compact in size after folding, and can easily pass through standard channels, reflecting Hubang's technological accumulation in the field of accessible travel.

At the symposium, the person in charge of Shanghai Hubang gave a detailed introduction to the company's practice in the safety performance and technical standards of electric wheelchairs. As a rehabilitation assistive device enterprise with a history of 35 years, Hubang has always been committed to providing safe and reliable products for people with limited mobility. Currently, our products have served users in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. During the discussion, both parties reached consensus on several key issues:
·The size standards for key positions such as high-speed rail carriage passages and doors have been further clarified, providing reference for wheelchair design.
·Considering the actual situation of some users, compliant modified wheelchairs can be used for boarding while ensuring safety.
·Various types of transportation tools in the market will be regulated and managed through multiple standards such as size and battery capacity.
·In the future, we will explore the establishment of a unified identification system to facilitate the rapid identification of compliant products.

The leaders of China Railway Group stated that the railway department has always attached great importance to accessible travel services, and hopes to further improve relevant standards and service processes through cooperation with excellent enterprises, so that high-speed rail can truly become a transportation tool shared by the whole nation.
Hubang stated that it will take this survey as an opportunity to continuously optimize product design and actively cooperate with the railway department to promote the standardization of accessible travel. Making every journey warm and smooth, and allowing friends with limited mobility to easily enjoy the "Chinese speed", is the original intention of Hubang and the common vision with China Railway Group. In the future, both sides will continue to maintain communication and cooperation, jointly promoting China's high-speed rail accessible travel services to a new level, allowing more people to enjoy convenient, comfortable, and dignified travel experiences.
